Rounders success for the girls!

On Wednesday, the 7th of June our girls’ Rounders team travelled to Mountmellick GAA pitch to compete in their 1st Rounders tournament of the season. The girls have been training hard, alongside our boys’ team, and were excited and ready to play!

Over the course of the day, the girls played 4 matches against The Heath, Clonaslee, Mountmellick and Cullohill.

The girls began the day by drawing with The Heath, a result we were all very pleased with.
After our initial draw we upped our game and managed to win our last 3 games quite easily!

The girls’ hard work really paid off but it was their positive attitudes that impressed the most. Every single team member encouraged others, helped others and offered advice and praise. The teamwork displayed was something every team could learn from and we were so proud of how they represented Scoil Bhríde on the day.

The girls will progress to the finals on the 21st of June in Emo so we will continue to train hard until then!

The girls would like to wish the very best of luck to the boys’ team who are competing in their tournament on Wednesday the 14th.
