Junior Infants: 18th May

Dear parents,
We hope you and your children enjoyed last week’s activities. We have put together a new set of work for the coming week. As always, please just do what is manageable for your household and your child. If you have any questions about the work, please do not hesitate to contact us by email – juniorinfantwork@scoil-bhride.com
We are so pleased with the huge amount of work that is being done at home during this time. We completely understand how stressful it is but from what we have seen from the work that has been sent in, you and your child are doing a fantastic job!!
Please let the children know we really miss them and we are thinking of them a lot.
Kind regards,
Junior Infants teachers.

After listening to an adult tell you their story, you could draw a picture of what you heard and email it to your teacher.

Art- Playdough

In the story for Science this week, you saw lots of rainforest animals. Using playdough, create some rainforest animals like the slippery snake. Watch the video to remember how to make your very own playdough at home. You can send a picture of your rainforest creations to your teacher.

You can continue to do PE with Joe Wicks if you like. It is every morning from Monday-Friday at 9.00am. If the weather is nice why don’t you go outside and play with a ball. You could practise kicking it/ throwing it/ bouncing it etc. You could also go outside and play games like hide and seek/tag/ flush the loo etc.

Try these brain breaks too!

After watching the video, think about all the ways you and your family use water. Chat about the similarities and differences between how you use water and how Enestina uses water everyday.

Some families like Enestina’s family do not have all the clean water that they need. Play the song. Try to sing along and thank God for the gift of water.
