Scooping first prize in the Eamonn O’Keefe Memorial cup
As part of the Kilkenny Music Festival 2020, a choir made up of over 40 third class students from Scoil Bhríde participated in two categories of the Primary School Choral competition. This competition took place on Tuesday the 10th of March in the Springhill Court Hotel, Kilkenny. The choir was directed by Nuala Kelly from Music Generation Laois and we thank her sincerely for all her hard work preparing the choir for this competition. The choir competed in two sections of the competition and much to the delight of all present, scooped first prize for their rendition of Sansa Kroma (A Ghanaian children’s song). The children proudly returned to Scoil Bhride with the Eamonn O Keefe Memorial cup in addition to a lovely perpetual trophy.
