Appreciating Our Environment

In Geography and Science, recently we were looking at how important the environment is to us. The life cycle of plants, animals and humans! How important it is to keep the Environment clean and tidy! A simple thing in the environment ………. soil!! We don’t spend much time thinking about things like this but when it was discussed we realised how much we rely on soil. For example, insects live in it, grass and plants grow on it, we need plants and trees for oxygen, animals need grass for food. It is very important to humans that  animals and plants  live for our survival. After talking about this in class, we asked Thomas our care-taker to help us dig up some soil so we could bring it into class, plant seeds and keep a close eye on what happens when we look after it!!!!
