Senior Infant Library
Since October last, our Senior Infants have been borrowing books from the Senior Infant Library run in the Parent’s Room every Monday morning. At the end of May our Senior Infants took a visit to Portlaoise library where they met Suzanne the librarian. Suzanne read stories to the children and all the Seniors signed up to become members. Once they received their membership card they were all able to borrow a book from the Library. The children will continue to visit Portlaoise Library once they move into 1st class. As a reward for all their reading throughout the year the children had a special treat on the 5th June when the famous storyteller Liam Farrell visited the school to tell them his tales about the big good wolf, the children really enjoyed his show! Thank you to the parents who volunteered to run the Infant Library in the Parent’s Room and to all those who joined us on our library visit. We hope you will visit the library with your children over the holidays and that you have enjoyed all the books you have read throughout the year!!
