Yoga and Meditation
As part of Mental Health Awareness week in Scoil Bhride, 3rd classes got the opportunity to engage with a yoga and meditation session. Yoga and meditation have multiple benefits for all age groups, children in particular. It helps develop their body awareness, it builds concentration and it teaches children to manage stress in a positive way. It was also lots of fun, as the children got to pose and pretend to be a variety of different animals! We hope that the children will carry forward the skills they learned during the session with their yoga teacher Eleanor and use them whenever they feel the need. It was a very enjoyable and positive experience for all involved!
