As Halloween draws near our Fourth, Fifth and Sixth class girls finished up their football season last Wednesday. The girls showed great dedication throughout the year with 40 or 50 girls at every training. The girls skills improved massively throughout the year with many girls playing football for the first time this year. Thank you to their teachers Ms. Fitzpatrick, Ms. Hyland, Ms. Phelan, Ms. Dunphy and Ms. Griffin who gave up their time to train them all year. There were two girls football teams entered into the Cumann na mBunscoil competition this year. One team won against Killadooley and Paddock and the other team beat Castletown. The girls made great progress throughout the matches. The girls finished up their training with a fun afternoon of blitz’s and games. They were very lucky to get to see and hold the Laois Intermediate Ladies football trophy with their trainers Ms. Hyland and Ms. Phelan who won with Shanahoe earlier this month.
