Four teams of boys and girls from 4th class travelled to represent the school in a football blitz organised by Portlaoise GAA. Recently, our school took part in the Couch to 2k program in cooperation with Laois Sports Partnership. We had classes from 2nd to 6th who trained hard for 6 weeks! This was completed with our 2km run, and everyone involved gave their best efforts on the day to show that their hard work paid off….
Ms. Slattery’s and Ms. Fitzpatrick’s 4th Classes had a fantastic day exploring Abbeyleix Bog on Monday. The children investigated four different habitats – woodland, pond, cut-over bog, and raised bog. They spotted a wide variety of plants and animals along the way.
