Senior Infant Trip – Green School Art Competition

We are currently trying to get our green flag for Global Citizenship and Travel so we are all making a big effort to travel to school in a sustainable way. Recently children throughout the school entered an Art competition organised by Green Schools.

The winner would win a trip on the local bus for their whole class. The Green team were amazed by the talent when they collected the entries! We sent off the entries to Green Schools and waited patiently to see who won! The winner was announced as Liliana in Ms. Lanigan’s Senior Infants.

On 9th of February the whole class set off on an exciting bus trip around Portlaoise. Michele and Chiara from Green Schools and the local guards spoke to the children on the bus! Great fun was had! The children entertained the bus driver with some great singing!!! We want to thank Green Schools and Bus4U for organising such a fun event for the children!
