In the weeks before Christmas, parents of Junior Infant children got together along with Deirdre – our HSCL Co-ordinator and Georgina – Art tutor with Laois VEC to create a story sack based on the book ‘Monkey Puzzle’ by Julia Donaldson.  The group met in the Parent’s Room on Thursday mornings and spent their time sewing, cutting, colouring, assembling and coming up with interesting games and resources to be used when reading the story with children.  The story sack will be presented to the Junior Infant classes in the coming weeks.
