Trip to the Slieve Blooms
On Friday 7th March a group of children from 4th class and members of the Green Team went to the Slieve Bloom Mountains as part of National Tree Week. Although the weather was quite good on the day, the ground was quite wet after all the bad weather over the past few weeks! We went on a lovely hike with our tour guide. She showed us many types of plants and trees along the way. We saw frogs and lots of frogspawn in the streams. We even saw what looked like Big Foot’s footprint!! The group arrived back in school tired and dirty, but very happy!!
