Last week on the 24^th of May we went to the Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone to collect our sixth green flag! We had a great day out! There were primary and secondary schools from many counties there.

John and Eoin were the lucky ones to be picked to represent the pupils of Scoil Bhríde on the day.  We arrived in Athlone and got a lovely lunch.  After lunch we listened to Michael John O Mahony, Director of An Taisce’s Environmental Education Unit.  He was very funny and kept the crowd entertained. 

We waited patiently until the schools collecting the flag for Global Citizenship-Litter and Waste were called out.  When Scoil Bhríde was announced John and Eoin went up and collected our flag.   They represented the green team very well!
