Computer Room

For the past two weeks students have been enjoying working in the new computer room which has been set up in the school. As we all know, IT has become a huge part of everyday life. It is changing how we work, how we do business,  our social interaction and the way we educate our children. For the past number of years students in Scoil Bhride have had access to a set of laptops which were passed around from classroom to classroom in order to teach children computer skills, word processing skills,  typing and to aid in research in different areas of the curriculum. However, because of the layout of the school, with so many prefabs which are spread out over a large area, this system was becoming difficult to manage. Therefore we have set up a dedicated computer room where children can be brought to engage in IT related activities. The room is equipped with 22 laptops and has full wireless internet access. The room is timetabled on a weekly basis and will ensure that all students will now have access to the use of IT to advance their education.
