Last Month, Mathletics held a worldwide competition for one week to see which school could practice their LIVE Mathletics the most. The great news is that Scoil Bhride finished in FIRST place in the November Numeracy Challenge out of a total of 1,624 schools who took part globally!

The top 20 schools were from the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Egypt and Poland! What was particularly impressive was that our students had an average of 10,699 points. In a school of our size, this is an enormous achievement and certainly one to be celebrated! The students worked their socks off!

Mrs. Wall Coughlan was so thrilled and proud of every one of the students for putting in a fantastic effort. She awarded every class with a box of “Hero” chocolates for making Scoil Bhride NS the best school in the world. The best classes in the Junior and Senior part of the school, as well as Aoibhneas, were awarded a certificate and a class prize each!

Keep an eye out for the INDIVIDUAL Worldwide competition in Live Mathletics – in March every year! Last year, we had one student who represented Ireland in 2nd Class last year and battled with 3 other students from around the world! Hopefully this year, we might even have more than one student representing Ireland and Scoil Bhride!
